Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 maps out bold multi-trillion-dollar ambitions for the state

The Telangana Rising Global Summit in Hyderabad underscored the State’s bold economic roadmap, with leaders outlining plans to reach a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047. The discussions highlighted major investments in healthcare, infrastructure, and innovation aimed at strengthening Telangana’s global standing.

The two-day event opened at Meerkhanpet with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurating the summit alongside Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other dignitaries. In his address, the Governor noted that Telangana was advancing with clear targets, backed by rapid improvements in airports, railways, roads, and essential sectoral amenities.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reiterated the ambition to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2034, stating that Telangana had drawn inspiration from economic powerhouses such as China, Japan, Germany, South Korea, and Singapore, and was preparing to compete on that scale.

Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi praised the State’s alignment with the Viksit Bharat agenda and said the $1 trillion goal was realistic. Apollo Hospitals Executive Chairperson Shobana Kamineni announced a Rs 1700-crore healthcare investment over the next three years. Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee addressed the summit virtually, while CII past president R Dinesh, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, and others shared their perspectives.
